We have two ceremony licensed areas; Under the Eaves and The Glasshouse. Unlike many other venues, we do not charge an additional ceremony fee. We set-up the ceremony seating and remove it afterwards at no extra cost.

As your chosen venue we register your ceremony for you with KCC once you have confirmed with us the time you would like it to be held. A member of the Kent County Council Registry Team will then be in contact with you.  The Night Yard does not charge for registering your ceremony. More information on Notice of Marriage and Ceremony fees charged by KCC can be found at www.akentishceremony.com.

The venue is exclusively available to you from 09:00 – 23:00 mid week (Monday – Thursday) and 09:00 – 23:30 (Friday and Saturday) on the day or your wedding. This is subject to licensing regulations and any restrictions on your chosen date.

You can begin setting up from 09:00 on the day of your wedding and we suggest that you ask a few friends to come and help with the set up. Our preferred handpicked list of suppliers know our venue well so setting up is normally very easy for everybody.

It is not possible to have access to The Night Yard the day before your event.

All items used for styling must be removed from the venue at the end of the evening and The Night Yard team will assist with this. We would appreciate a small group of designated guests from your wedding party to help with this in order to speed up the process! 

There are numerous styling opportunities; cable ties and blue tack may be used, but we do not allow screws, nails or staple guns.

You may move the furniture (except for our vintage tractor Bertie) but this will need to go back to its original place by the end of the evening. 

We are a disabled friendly venue. We have a designated parking space directly outside the main venue gate. The venue is all on one level and also includes a disabled WC.

We work with a selected list of local caterers (please see our handpicked list of suppliers for full details). We work with them to ensure we deliver against our shared customer service ethos. These caterers have worked many times at The Night Yard and know the venue well. We have ensured they have the correct certificates, license’s and insurance. We hope that this selection will give you plenty to choose from.

The Night Yard Bar is located onsite which ensures great value for money, fantastic service and a wide range of drinks packages to choose from. 

Suppliers have access to The Night Yard from 09:00am to set up and are allowed to re-enter the venue for up to 15 minutes after the wedding has finished to take down and remove any decorative items. 

It is the suppliers responsibility to ensure that all their decorative items are removed from the venue within the specified timeframe above. 

The Night Yard has a fantastic sound system throughout the venue which is great for background music throughout your wedding day, in addition to a portable PA system with two microphones. The PA system is usually suitable for the ceremony and speeches.

On arrival please follow the signs to The Night Yard car park.

Our country roads are suitable for coaches and double decker buses. 

Guests and suppliers cars may be left in the car park until 11:00am the day after your wedding. 

We are very happy to advise on local taxi firms if required. We suggest that guests book their return taxi’s 15 minutes in advance of the end of your wedding to ensure all guests vacate The Night Yard by the time specified on your contract.

Smoking is not permitted inside The Night Yard’s buildings.

There is a designated smoking area is available Under the Eaves.

Access to the orchards is available by arrangement.

We are a pet friendly venue and the courtyard is ideal for all well behaved pets. However, any mess must be cleared up and the owner must take responsibility for their pet/pets throughout the event.

Only natural flower petal confetti is permitted at The Night Yard.

Safety for all is a key priority at The Night Yard. We will work with you to assess any particular fire risks. Tea lights in enclosed lanterns or jam jars are permitted as long as they do not constitute a fire risk. Please note we do not permit naked flame candles. Please speak to your Event Manager for further information regarding this.
