When comparing wedding venue hire costs in Kent, the headline price is only one part of the decision. One quote might include furniture and coordination, while another lists those separately. Our current standard full day venue hire is £6,400, with main venue access from 9am. Twilight hire is £5,000, with main venue access from 1pm. For 2027, our Monday to Thursday midweek offer is £4,500 for exclusive full day venue hire, subject to availability. Our getting ready suite is included in both full day and Twilight hire. These figures are venue hire prices rather than the total cost of your wedding.
Ask whether the tables and chairs you need are included and who handles their setup. Check what support you will have before the wedding and on the day. At The Night Yard, wedding hire includes furniture and venue coordination. During a viewing, we can discuss your layout and explain which optional items, such as additional styling or linen, you may want to add.
Catering and drinks can make a substantial difference to the total, particularly as guest numbers change. Request quotes based on the same number of guests and a similar menu so the comparison is useful. At The Night Yard, catering is arranged separately and drinks packages can be discussed with our team. Having a staffed bar does not mean all guest drinks are included in the venue hire price.
If you want to marry at the venue, ask about the venue charge for hosting the ceremony and the registrar’s separate fee. The Night Yard does not add a venue ceremony fee, but Kent County Council fees still apply. Also ask about any refundable damage deposit, optional services and charges connected with your chosen suppliers. Keep refundable deposits separate from spending in your budget, while allowing for when the payment is needed.
For each venue, write down the hire fee, included items, food, drinks, ceremony fees and chosen extras. Use the same guest numbers throughout and check whether VAT is included. This gives you a much clearer picture of value than judging venues by a starting price alone.
